Oxford, Maryland

November 15, 17, 2006 - Robert Morris Inn, Oxford, Maryland

When I first saw the site online, I was captivated by the place when hubby showed it to me. The inn is located on the scenic Tred Avon River in Oxford, eastern shore of Maryland. I consider it as an ideal place of a romantic hideaway for both of us although this trip was of business purpose. This was actually a work retreat for hubby with the MPA group. But the good thing was it was all in one, which was a combined work, leisure and fun. Wasn't that cool? :)

It was a 2-hour trip going there crossing the Bay Bridge, a very long bridge and was somewhat like 5 minutes drive, til we got to the other side of the shore. (Yes, I timed it, lol!).

Ferries such as this carry cars as well as passengers which is being used as a quick way of going to St. Michael's (a small town I guess) on the other side of the bay.

I decided to have a walk while hubby was at work since I don't wanna miss the views! While roaming around, I couldn't help but to just click my camera.

There was a challenging part on my walk when I started chasing the swans (a lover swans)to get a closer shots on them. But they were too smart enough to go farther away when they saw me :)..perhaps I was just a nuisance to their romantic moments :).

I also met some friends along the road. I became much interested more on her dog :), so while talking to her and greeting her dog, hubby went out just in time for his break so I was able to pose with the dog while he took shot of me. I think the dog likes me too :)).

Our photos at Inn's Sandaway Lodge located one-half block away from Morris Inn on 2 acres of waterfront property complete with private beach. Here, many of the rooms have private porches overlooking the water, including a hammock that I enjoyed sitting on it, including hubby too ;).

Thanks PPP, you're still an angel...sometimes, I get cranky and post my rants, but above all, you are still on top of my list :).

"We are unable to approve your blog." - PPP :(

It's a disgusting feeling when you receive an email stating the message above especially if you are expecting it should be approved. Well, I don't know what PPP exactly meant of "within the past 30 days."...when it comes to the the required 10 written posts. I just got tired going back and forth to Customer Love opening new tickets for inquiries and questions. Although mostly are very helpful to me, there are some that aren't. That's how I feel, and I am just being honest. This is all in relation to this blog wherein PPP is having a hard time approving it...

If somebody out there can share with me how you understand this email that PPP sent to me disapproving my blog, maybe you can help enlighten me what they meant.
"Dear ________,

"This is a notification to let you know that we were unable to approve your blog, Trails and Travelogues, due to the following reason(s):

Unfortunately, as per our terms of service, submitted blogs must have at least 10 written posts in the past 30 days in order to be accepted to our Marketplace. Please re-submit when you meet this requirement. Feel free to use PPP Direct and Affiliate tools while you work on meeting the requirements of our Marketplace!

Thank you! P @ IZEA "

I already have a total of 36 posts since last January. That should be a clear simple math to analyze. Considering they wanted to count the posts starting from March 14 down to Feb. 14 which is 30 days count, I already posted 15 posts. Another simple math to analyze...that 15 is more than 10. ridiculous!!!

Now, I am ranting!...have all the right to do so in my blog. I wanna bang my head on the wall, perhaps that would help me know where should I start counting?? Where the heck can we find the reason that 15 is lesser than 10? :0
{{Rant ends}}.

Sarah Geronimo's Concert @ Lisner Auditorium,Washington DC

November 11, 2006 - The George Washington University, Lisner Auditorium, Washington DC

This was one of my early birthday gift from hubby. He knew I admire Sarah's voice so much and had watched her TV soap movies almost every day. So,he bought tickets for us to watch her concert show this day. This was my first time to watch a local singer from the Philippines like really seeing her in person :).

Anyway, we were late in locating the place using our map quest but wasn't too bad.

Anyway, here are some photos of Sarah's concert. Most photos are dark due to the dim lighting but better than nothing at all,LOL!

Me, watching...

Washington DC Trip and Tours

October 28, 2006
Our trip going to our exact destination was at least 1 hour and 10 minutes. It was a 45-minute drive from home to Wheaton Station. From there, we boarded the Metro train going to DC for 25 minutes. Smart idea coz hubby didn't need to drive longer. We got off at Union Station.

We got tickets for DC trolley tour, so the place for their pick up zone was in front of Union Station. Supposedly, this should be our full tour to see the entire DC tourist destinations, but we decided to get a tour inside the Capitol building and we got a 2:30pm batch,so we couldn't leave further.

There were some photos of a bunch of squirrels which I took in front of the US Capitol. They look cute,so I took photos.

National Botanical Garden was close by, so we did a quick visit there as well.

Reisterstown Park, Maryland

September 28, 2006 - SSA Picnic

This was not actually a travel, but simply an outing from hubby's work. They were allowed to bring their family, so I got the chance to go and witness the event. There's nothing formal because it was a picnic for fun and everybody was turning wacky too! Hubby was one wacky guy that day, but I was able to meet Dominique, wife of my hubby's co worker and Zan, another lady from SSA and also hubby's co worker.

Photos are those of hubby's wacky dance moves and my chit-chats with newly met friends Dominique and Zan on the swing :).

The event was for two days, but I joined together with my sisters in Christ from our church for only a day. There was some fun activities wherein we could choose what activity would we prefer to do. We chose dancing...and I realize, with a few quick instructions, I can dance too :)....for the Lord, that is!

Had a good breakfast and lunch that came in with the package we payed...it was worth it.

Dallas, Texas Trip

September 13-17, 2006

Sept. 15, 2006 - Our Visit to Reunion Tower - Dallas, Texas
We were fortunate enough to make a quick visit to this place and is close to our hotel. Reunion Tower is often called "the sparkling round jewel of Dallas skyline." The tower stands 50 stories high. I still couldn't forget our ride going up to the tower top with just glass elevators surrounding the elevator. The sight has a breathtaking view, but I couldn't seem to enjoy the sight while going up because of the height :).

We didn't have our lunch so we decided to take it in the revolving restaurant. I love the view from there, plus the fact that the restaurant itself revolves. While the restaurant revolves, you can completely see the whole view of Dallas.

Inside the tower's revolving restaurant.

We had a cook out while visiting my friend in Burkburnett, and also meeting Lisa for the first time from Wichita Falls. They had a good food prepared for us, and it was a hearty meal.

After the heartful lunch, we went for an ice cream as our dessert! :)
