Visit to Hershey Park

Sept. 4, 2011

We reached the park around 11am. We thought of going there as early as we can while the weather is still clear. It was a good thing that the weather didn't turn out rainy that day, but the whole day was cloudy, yet still warm. But that was way better than sunny. For sure, the hubby would be sweating like a pig, lol!

It was a little crowded at the main entrance, because it was Sunday. Inside the park was a little better. It was funny that whenever we go to a theme park like this, we just couldn't be brave enough to get on the thrill rides! We would prefer riding on trains and trolleys, and just watching shows! lol. I should have tried skyview rides but hubby won't. I don't like being alone on that cable, so we just skipped it :(.

We tried the blue cross monorail, a train ride around the park, then it was a good timing to catch The Milkmen singing on the stage. Just beside them was the Music box theater where we watched another show of good tap dancing! Those performers were really good!

We then catched a late lunch at Minetown restaurant afterwhich we proceeded to Zoo America just adjacent to the park. There was not much crowd in the zoo. But after a few walks, my feet are getting tired. It was like around 5pm when we went out from the park. Before reaching the exit, we thought of getting some cold coffee drinks at Dunkin Donuts and took a seat for a rest! I was getting this throbbing headache again, and the coffee helped a little bit.
I enjoyed the day anyway, so we went straight back home after the rest, and retired early.
Thank you Lord for the clear weather for the whole day!

Hershey's Great American Chocolate Tour (Pat 2)

This is a free tour where you will be sitting on a moving mini train and witness how chocolates are being made through a simulated Hershey's Chocolate factory. Be prepared to get hungry as you'll see, feel and hear the delicious transformation from a chocolate bean to milk chocolates. It's fun and informative.
After the tour, you'll be given FREE hershey candy samples! {drools} :)).

Here's a slide show of our tour inside the simulated chocolate factory.

If you love shopping then, you can go drop by Hershey's Marketplace Shops. Mostly, things there are of hershey's brand confectionaries, candies, fudge, and cookies.

If you get hungry, food court are just around so close inside the park. We love many foods there...and of course, "sweets are always everywhere :).

Have fun!

Hershey's Chocolate World Tour (Part 1)

6-8-08
If you think you can only have fun buying and eating chocolates, (particularly Hershey's) - you're wrong! You can have more fun with a lot of "sweets" in the air, with a lot of things to see and hear about Hershey's chocolates.
If you love chocolates (my hubby does), then go visit Hershey's Chocolate World, located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Hershey's Chocolate World is the official corporate visitor's center of the Hershey Company.
If you live further away, you need to start your trip earlier in the day. We are an hour and 48 minutes away, so we left earlier :). There is a parking fee for a certain number of hours. Less than 2 hours is FREE, and if you had more than that, payment will be charged as you take your exit from the park.

Watch the Big 3D Show. it's stunning! If you have kids, they will love it. This is an animated 3-D musical adventure as Hershey's product characters virtually jump off the big screen and come to life. Surprising in-theater effects are always added. We love the chocolate aroma in the air. Who knows? You'll also be catching some real chocolates too ;).

Hershey Trolley Works is totally entertaining! You will get the chance to ride on an old fashioned trolley car as you go around the Hershey community. It's all about the inspirational legacy of Mr. Hershey that will be unfolded through a unique entertainment experience. Do you love to sing? Well, you will be singing with your tour guide(s) as well. Fun!
