Sights & Sounds Theater Experience

Church Weekend Fellowship and Sight and Sounds Experience, Pennsylvania - July 27-28,2007

We missed the Friday fellowship with our church family. However, we were able to catch up for the Sight and Sound Experience at the millenium theater in Pennsylvania. We watched the show "In The beginning". The show is worth recommending, a stage play performance with awesome sound effects and props that looked like real. Animals used were real, and even got their chance to march back and forth the stage.

How I wish photos are allowed inside, but they won't except during the show break.

Photos were all from our church family friends and some for me and my husband as well.

A Powerful Text Link Builder

I am sure, every webmaster's goal is to make his/her website becomes successful in the eyes of search engines. One way for a website to become successful are incoming text links which are considered to be an imperative part for a website's success or popularity. EduTextLink.com for example, is a full service provider of edu text links. Currently, they have more than 25 edu domains available and are still expanding. EduTextLink is considered to be the first company of its kind to offer full service link building for edu domains and are as well domain experts in redirecting edu domains to a client's web site. With edu links, you can further improve your natural search results.
In order for a website to rank well in search engines, there are at least three key components to consider. First is the content. They say "content is king." It means a site has pages of natural relevant content. Second, are incoming links, (also known as votes) and third, are search engine friendly sites. Of all the three, building incoming links is the trickiest and the most time consuming aspect, but it is very important to improve your rankings. The more inbound links your site has, the more popular it is. And search engines loves popular sites! This is where your page rank comes in depending on how popular the site is. Speaking of page rank, please take note that edu links does not focus on page rank. The value is based on the overall authority of your site which includes your site's age, backlinks, outgoing links, the quantity as well as the quality of pages indexed. These makes edu links powerful.
With EduTextLink, you can get the highest possible quality links based upon current search engine algorithms. They don't bug you up with monthly charges once you oder. Church Camping - Solomon's Island

LCOG Church Family Camping - Solomon's Island, Maryland - July 13-14, 2007

This was a 2-day affair for our church family members to camp out in Solomon's island, but we were only able to catch up for the trip on Saturday, July 14, since hubby had to work late of Friday.

Did you know that this place is an ideal for a real, quiet vacation far from the bustling noise of the city? We were not able to go further around the area since we had to go back as soon as possible for another family affair get-together.

Here are some quick photos that we had before heading home.

I am looking forward to someday go back there to get a full visit and tour the place. If you enjoy relaxing by the beach, then I guess this is the ideal place for you...when you are in Maryland :).

See the real beauty of SOLOMON'S ISLAND. It's nostalgic and awesome.

Excursion at Skyline Caverns

June 22-23, 2007 - Alexandria, Virginia

Our trip to Alexandria was purely for work purpose. Hubby was offered to give a lecture with the US Army officers there, so we drove down there and checked in at Best Western Inn. This was a short trip so we only got the chance to tour Skyline Caverns which was 2 hours drive from Alexandria. It was both our first time with my husband to tour a cave and it was really chilly down there. If you love nature especially caves, then try Skyline Caverns. There are some more cave attractions in Virginia, but so far Skyline was the one closest to us. :).

A Day of Fun in Tulsa, Oklahoma

June 5-8, 2007 (Tulsa, Oklahoma)

Tulsa, Oklahoma the night of June 5. Airport security was on alert at level orange, so there was much flight delays. So far, it wasn't that crowded probably because it was still mid week and early when we left for Tulsa. Our itinerary was BWI - OHARE - TULSA Int'l Aiport.

We were checked in at Radisson, and we didn't start doing our usual itinerary schedules not until on the 7th the whole day. Of course, I understand this is not a pleasure trip but rather my hubby's work trip on purpose. But on the other side of it, it is still a good chance to have certain time of his day reserved for our usual tour trip.

June 7, 2007

First itinerary: Philbrook Museum of Art - just 15 minutes away from our hotel so that was good. We both learned to love the place. It's somewhat like a combination of a botanical garden, and a museum. Of course, inside the museum were variety of collections...paintings, sculptures, etc...

We had captured some photos of us and in the garden...we found it more mesmerizing in the garden, really!

Meantime, while walking alongside, we saw few squirrels playing under the tree looking for their nuts. We managed to capture one who kept on coming close to us. I found him so cute, doing little things on his own with his food..lol!

My_photos_059

This one really wanted to catch somebody's attention! He's kinda making himself impressive...he was aware he was being on camera.

My_photos_066

Some fishes on the pond.

My_photos_062

My_photos_068

I thought I could just lie on the bench and get some sleep...hehehe..hubby said gottcha! and click goes the camera! geesh!

We didn't had any breakfast, so after a brief walk in the garden, we went to a restaurant which is located inside the museum. It's a small one but somewhat a formal one...and good food! I loved the grilled chicken with lettuce and tomatoes. yummy! ...with a refreshing iced tea.

Inside the museum:

Mwah to my doggie!

My_photos_076

An alley of paintings!

My_photos_071

We kept on figuring this weird figure but we really don't know what it is except for that eyes and lips and for sure that's human's, wala nang iba!..lol!

Tulsa Zoo & Living Museum:

We went straight ahead to the zoo...and by the way, all of our trips were all done in a day..that's what happens when we do have little time left.

My_photos_077

My_photos_078

We went first to the elephant encounter...they're my husband's favorite animal, the elephants! We saw sneezy, the male elephant who's 34 years old. He was actually playing on the poolside.

My_photos_079

My_photos_080

Sneezy's girlfriends. I forgot the name of the other one, but the other elephant's name is gunda.

My_photos_082

Hubby caught me chasing the geese again! He tried to stop me because he said they really have a painful bite. Most of these geese are mothers who are protecting their youngs, so they were a li'l bit aggressive.

The tiger even was in the mood to come closer to us and made his pose!

My_photos_109

And the neighbor lion too!

Inside the butterfly house! All we had to do was to catch a photo glimpse of their beautiful wings flapping together. Here are some good ones we captured! I compressed the photos for a much larger space...

Inside the train

Actually, it was a good idea to ride on the train just to go around the zoo. The good thing about the zoo is you can get closer view with the animals and get good shots. When you're on the train, they would just let you tour around the area and can still see the animals around.

Afterwhich, I was sooo tired and exhausted, and was very, very thirsty! The temperature was super hot! we were in the 90F that day!

Tulsa Air & Space Museum and Planetarium:

It was just a short visit. The museum was not that large, and there are some few war planes inside used during the world war 1 & 2 plus some small plane collections too. We tried watching a show in the planetarium but hubby said it was very boring...and so he slept during that whole show! Funny thing was, he was snoring while the show was on...gessh! I had to shake him a li'l bit..good thing, nobody complained hahaha!!!

My_photos_112

My_photos_113

My_photos_114

Whew! It was a fun day afterall! A bit tiring but was worth it!

We had a tough day going back home...all flights were delayed, we were inside the plane and waited for the plane's take off for more than 30 minutes! Guck! That wasn't fun! From Tulsa to Chicago, still long waits, Chicago to Baltimore, flight was delayed for 45 minutes, airport crowded! Haay!!! super dead tired arriving back home!

Above all else, we thanked God for making us safe back home! We were blessed to face another new day with strength to do our deck staining which will be the next topic! I got sunburns!!! waaaahhhh!!!

I'll catch up later folks!

A Quick Trip To Delaware

June 2, 2007 - Hockessin, Delaware

I got few photos for me and my husband. Mostly, all of them are inside the Santos residence - our good family friend & brothers and sisters in Christ. These were all shots during Melissa's graduation party and her 18th birthday as well. The shots are all done inside their home in Hockessin, Delaware. I included all our shots together with our family and friends from our church. My first time to take a step on this state, but we are still hoping to find a good chance to get back there for another round of going around the places worth visiting.

A Trip to Farmington, PA

May 9-10, 2007 - Nemacolin Woodlands, Farmington, Pennsylvania

This has been an enjoying road trip going to Farmington, a 3-hour drive. The road going to the place is somewhat going to the countryside, but once you reach the place, you can really say it's worth the trip because of the hotel's location and architectural design. We were checked in at Chateau Lafayette, where in rooms are patterned from famous Ritz Paris in France with vaulted ceilings and crystal chandeliers. Bathtubs are designed likely for bigger people so that when you sit in there, you will be drowned! LOL!

Road Trip Photos: I think these are all parts of Sideling Hill. I find it very attractive :)

The photos below were taken on our way back home. Did you know that hubby had to do a U-turn just to stop by on this landmark so that we can take photos of the big deer? :) It turned out to be good shots for the deer, so I had my poses there as well. :)

No More Dry, Irritated Eyes!!!!

I have been always telling my husband to wear contact lenses. He would sometimes complain of irritated eyes and at times, I can also see his eyes becomes red. He has trouble seeing at a far distance so he wears eyeglasses most of the time. I suggested him to wear contact lenses, in that way, he does not have to "bug" me to help him find his eyeglasses because he could not recall where did he put it. Sometimes, we would end up getting late when he can't find them.
Acuvue Oasys seems to be worth recommending. Perfect for hubby's eyes, I suppose. This product utilizes hydraclear plus technology to help eyes stay moist and fresh, are tinted for easy handling and won't change the color of your eye. The purpose of the tint is designed to easily locate the lenses while soaked in the solution. The lenses also contain an inside-out "AV" indicator to help ensure proper insertion or application. Acuvue Oasys contacts (also known as Acuvue Oasis), is manufactured by johnson & Johnson and is a 100% highly recommended by many optometrists and opthalmologists. They as well supply all the major brands and types of contact lenses for prices of up to 70% below retail. Just imagine he savings you will get.
At 1-800-GET-LENS, you can take advantage of their lowest price guarantee which you can conveniently buy online. Your purchase on their site is guaranteed safe, secure and fast.

I-Glide Tour in Philly

April 13, 2007 - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I enjoyed this tour very much although the weather was so called and chilly. Hubby was about to give up because of the cold weather, but we already paid for it, so we did it. At first, the tour started with a quick "rehearsal" on how to use the Segway Human Transporter. This is like a scooter, only that it has been added with more advanced features, and operates with the use of a radar. The movement depends upon your bodies moevements too, so it's not that complicated to ride on it. I can say, bicycle is much more difficult to handle than this.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Trip

April 9-13, 2007 - "Philly" Trip :)

April 9 - After checking in at our hotel and got settled, we went to see the famous Liberty Bell - the symbol of American freedom. It was just 5 minutes away from our hotel.

On July 8, 1776, the Liberty Bell chimed from the tower of Independence Hall summoning the citizens of Philadelphia to hear the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence by Colonel John Nixon.

Historical buildings and statues are all around most of the area, so I did enjoy my walking as well as taking some shots...hubby was delighted to be my photographer for a little while, so it was great!

April 12 - Ride The Ducks Tour and our visit to King Tut Museum

Although the weather was cold and sharply chilly, we went for the ride the ducks tour. We were not able to go and visit the Independence Hall since they ran out of tickets despite of attempting to go there twice to get some tickets. So, down we go for a quiet splash along the coast of Delaware River. I didn't appreciate much of the scene because perhaps due to the cold season. It was only some couple of ducks swimming on the river that I saw but still wasn't able to take photos because windows are covered with a thick plastic. Anyway, it wasn't a badi idea after all because part of the tour was also a mobile tour around the Philly area seeing the historical buildings and landmarks.

Doing the duck whistle! :)

Sad Family Reunion in Austin, Texas

That was March 29, 2007 when my husband received an email from his cousin Tanya in Austin confirming him that his uncle Jack had passed away. I had been looking forward to meeting uncle Jack and talk to him, but it was just sad that we have to go there to console the family of uncle Jack's passing away. This is the only direct family relatives that live in Texas. My hubby's relatives from his father side.

March 30-April 2, 2007

This was a sudden unexpected trip for us, and hubby was able to book a flight the next day.

It was heart-breaking to let see uncle's passing away but I admire aunt Pat's and her 2 kids for being so strong and positive minded. It should not be a thing to grieve upon because we know God is with him now.

Then, the family took us to a dinner after the interment at Oasis restaurant which by the way has a beautiful sunset view. Actually, they would ring a bell when the time for sunset is set, and people would be flocking on the viewing spot to take a photo.
I was able to get one! :)

More views from the scenic place of Oasis Restaurant.

Kamayan Restaurant

February 14, 2007 - Kamayan Restaurant, Makati - Valentine Dinner Date with friends

It was our last day in Manila and so we planned for a valentine date dinner with our new found firends, Josephine and Jeffrey. The Kamayan Restaurant was just 2 blocks away from our hotel, so we made a reservation there. The restaurant is cozy and food are home cooked like "lutong bahay" taste :). Tasty!...and they gave us a special bonus, a song from the "harana" group. That was worth cherishing!
